October 2016... yes, I am REALLY behind!

Okay, it has been WAY to long since I have updated our blog. Two babes, working every day, and somewhat attempting to cook and clean... leaves 0 extra time! Summer break is amazing! :-) I am going to try my best to update our life from the beginning of October until.. now. Here goes 8 months!

I am going to start with...

OCTOBER

My last post was all about going to the beach for Fall Break with the Barksdale family. It was so fun and we have already planned our next Fall Break beach trip. I love the beach in October. It isn't cold and it isn't hot... it's PERFECT! Speaking of beach... we are heading to the beach with the Heinz crew in 2 weeks. All 22 or wait is it 23 of us! We are so excited!

Right after our beach trip last October, our sweet Murphy turned 2 months old. Writing this now, it seems like this was years ago. Here is a picture of our sweet boy at 2 months.

On October 15, 2016 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Mobile, AL our Samuel "Murphy" Barksdale was baptized into the Catholic Faith. His namesake, Monsignor Murphy baptized Murphy in what I personally feel was one of the most special moments EVER. Monsignor Murphy is so special to our family. He was the priest at St. Dominic during my childhood. We went to church at St. Dominic and I went to school there from Kindergarten through 6th grade when we moved to Memphis. My siblings all went to SDS too! Monsignor Murphy also traveled all the way to Memphis for our wedding for years ago. He was wonderful -- had the best sermon and blessed our marriage in what I like to think was an extra special way! :-)  Monsignor Murphy is so so dear to us! I am so honored to name my second born after him and to have him baptize him into the faith. Here are some pics from the special and faith-filled day!

Those face rubs and cheek squeezes will always be so special to me!

After the baptism, we headed to Ben and Teresa's house for a celebration! It was so kind of them to open their home for a little party! Teresa also had the most beautiful {and yummy!} cake made! We had yummy food and drinks to celebrate Murphy's big day!

Heinz loves playing with Charlie!

Our sweet baptized boy! We love you so much Murphy and we are so grateful that God blessed us with YOU. You are truly a gift from God. One of our main goals with you (and Heinz) is to make sure that God is always part of your life. Going to church, praying,  and being kind and compassionate to others are a few of the GRAND things that we hope you do. We love you!

Back to Memphis we go after such a fun and happy weekend!

We celebrated lots of birthdays in October! We had so much fun going to Noah's 3rd birthday party at his house!

After Noah's party, we headed to Mimi and JoeJoe's to celebrate more Sept/October birthdays! We had yummy food and cookie cake!

Joe Joe with some of the other Sept/October birthdays in the Heinz family. Heinz was so excited to celebrate their birthdays!

Joseph's birthday is in June -- but we still love him! :-)

As I blogged earlier, Heinz goes to school at the ECC at SAA-SDS. Heinz LOVES going to school! LOVES IT! As a teacher, I love that he loves school! Here is Heinz with one of his best buddies, Hutson. We are so sad that Hutson moved back to Fairhope, AL at the end of his school year. His mom was a teacher at SDS and was originally from near Mobile, just like me! SMALL WORLD! How cute do these two look in their "winter" uniform!

Here are a few pics of our growing Murphy boy!

Heinz had a blast celebrating Chaz's birthday at such an awesome and adorable carnival birthday party. Ginna truly is legit amazing!

A few days before Halloween we decided to go to a carnival at the KROC center in Memphis with Robyn and Jake. In October, Heinz was really really into "The Fish" aka Nemo and Dory. My sister-in-law and Heinz's Aunt Amy found an adorable Nemo costume for Heinz to wear on Halloween. It is so cute! He didn't love wearing it but reluctantly did it for this picture taking/memory making mama! We had fun at the carnival but didn't stay too long because they were blasting some loud music! HA HA! After the carnival we hit up the brand new Zaxby's on Union. Brad was so excited! He loves Zaxby's!

Look at our Nemo baby boy! :-)

Murphy filled that bucket up! KIDDING! Happy 1st Halloween to our littlest baby!

Brad and I decided to have a pumpkin carving party! It was so fun that I think I want to make this an annual thing! We had so much fun with family and friends... and we made some pretty legit pumpkins! Madeline and her friends are just going to have to drive back from college for the party next year! :-)

Johnny and Bennett!

Murphy in his October best and his lovely Mimi! :-)

Heinz loves his God mama /cousin Maddie!

Lexi, Maddie Beaty, and Maddie Heinz! We love these girls so much! We are going to miss them when they leave for college/other amazing things in August!

Mimi and Heinz! Heinz was so sweaty but having so much fun! Mimi was O.V.E.R the cast on her foot but still having fun!

This boy LOVED his pirate pumpkin that he made with felt stickers! How cute!

Heinz and Madeline! :-)

Heinz and Daddy working hard on our family pumpkin! Such a fun day!

They all worked so hard!

1st Annual Barksdale Pumpkin Carving Party was a success!!!!!

The main thing I love about living in Memphis is being near  my family. It is so fun and special that my boys get to see them more!

Heinz snoozing in Joe Joe's lap and Murphy playing in Mimi's lap! Remember that we found Heinz like this on the couch! Ha!

Here's a pic of my sweet boys watching a Mississippi State away game at Mimi and Joe Joe's!

It has been so fun having Heinz at school with me! Actually, I rarely see him... but on Friday's when he walks to Library and passes by my classroom it sure is special! His class had a fun Halloween party that parents were invited to! Luckily, Brad and I both got to go! He loves school, his teachers, and his friends so much!

Some sweet friends after they filled their halloween treat bags!

Oh my baby boy! :-)

He was so proud to show off his classroom!

Heinz loved making his pumpkin. Look at those eyes and that mouth! Ha!

Heinz with two of his best buddies... Rhys and Hutson!

Yay for a fun 2K Halloween Party!

To finish October we celebrated Halloween with Mimi, Joe Joe, Johnny, and Maggie at our house! We had Jack-O-Lantern pizza from Papa Murphys! Our little pumpkin and our Nemo had a great time! Joe Joe even dressed up!

Murphy's First Halloween! Heinz wore this costume for his First Halloween! How special!

It was so cute... and yummy!

Sweet brothers!

We love Joe Joe! He is so fun!

We finished up October with our "milk drunk" almost 3 month old! See you soon, November!

Heinz and Murphy,

We loved this month with you! Mama love October and the fall in general! We had so much fun with family, friends, and at Halloween festivities! I hope you always have fun with life and always remember how special and important family is. We love you forever sweet baby boys.
