Busy life!

I It's been a few days.... Heinz is already 2 months old! :-) time flies!

We have had some fun and busy days! Days full of fun, shopping, eating, diaper changes, and most importantly snuggles and love! I love holding this sweet boy! So does his other family!

Last Wednesday we went to Barksdale road for a few hours. On our way there we went to visit nana at her work! She wanted to show Heinz off!

While on Barksdale road we hung out at brads grandparents house. His sweet grandmother made the biggest and yummiest lunch! This girl loved it!
Heinz got some sweet snuggles with his great grand parents and I had wonderful conversations!
So sweet!

Umm yum!!

BB and Heinz having a convo!

That night we met up with Maggie, Johnny, Jaylen, Polly, taze, Townes, and pierce at chick fil a! It was so yummy and fun! Heinz got his pic taken with the boys!

All smiles!

This sweet boy was two months old on May 21st! I can't believe it has been two months. I feel like I have loved this baby boy forever! I love you Heinz Edward Barksdale! He is starting to smile more which I love! Here are some of my recent pics!

Maroon Friday!

I am starting to realize that one of my favorite things in the whole wide world is having this sweet boy of mine fall asleep in my arms! Here is some footage:

On Saturday we went to a friends wedding in Tuscaloosa. It was the first time to be away from Heinz for more than an hour. It wasn't easy at all but I did have a good time. Robyn and Jake came in town to go to the wedding. We loved having them -- it is always so fun to spend time with them! Loved seeing everyone at the wedding!

Love this man!

On Memorial Day we went furniture shopping in Columbus --- we racked up! I can't wait until it is all set up! Pics soon!

We also went to Trish and Dominic's house for a cook out! Heinz went swimming for the first time! Daddy was a great instructor ha ha!

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Goodnight!

Won't be the last time...

Dear Heinz,

Mama is sorry! I clipped your nails and clipped your thumb nail too low and got some skin. Your thumb bled and bled --- 8 weeks old this day too. Good job, mama! I felt/feel so bad! Luckily your Nana was there to help you and me! :-) I clipped 4 nails so well and then that! I love you Heinz and Mama is sorry! :-)

Love,
mama

I know it won't be the last time I make a mistake but boy oh boy that wasn't fun! I cried more than he did though!

Look at my sweet bonnet boy! We are loving this beautiful weather!

Good times

We had a wonderful weekend visit to see Mimi and jojo in germantown a few weekends ago! Heinz got so much loving from friends and family. We spent the day outside. He loved it! He hung out in his snuggle nest enjoying the nice weather. Unless he was in someone's arms! :-)
We also did a photo shoot of him in his NYU clothes that Mimi got him on her latest trip to visit Uncle AJ in NYC! He looks adorable in his little t shirt and hat!

We even took a bath at Mimi and Jojo's! :-)
Heinz went with brad to go watch Henry play some baseball! They had a good time and I got to spend so quality time laying on the bed talking to Maggie and mama. Overall it was a wonderful weekend!

I forgot to mention that it was Mother's Day weekend -- silly me. My first one! Heinz got me these awesome peters pottery salt and pepper shakers! Brad got me this peters pottery Mississippi platter. I have some sweet boys in my life! I am too blessed. To celebrate the fam went to mass and a late lunch at Huey's! So much fun!

Heinz loves mirrors! Here he is staring into the one on his changing table. Sweetness!

Walk on campus!

Heinz got all decked out in some Mississippi state gear tonight for our walk on campus! :-)

The walk must have worn this little bulldog out! :-)

Snoozing in his swing! Love this sweet boy!

We are heading to germantown tomorrow for the weekend and to celebrate Mother's Day! My first Mother's Day! Can't wait! :-)

It has been an interesting week to say the least --- a few different personal hurdles to overcome -- I believe I'm on the up and up. Thank heavens!

Heinz Edward Barksdale! My sweet sweet baby boy!
Until next time...

Home....Owners!!!

I Our house is officially ours! Last week we closed on our house (the one we've been living in since mid March)! Heinz got all dressed up for the occasion -- he looked adorable!
During the meeting, while he sat in his stroller in his cute outfit --- he popped like crazy. All over his outfit! One of his first poop blow outs in public --- handled it like a champ ;-).

Brad is all about giving Heinz his baths and I am so happy with that. I get nervous --tiny little slippery baby body... I am a okay with bath time being a daddy/Heinz thing for now! Ha
Here is some bath documentation though!!

Here is his after bath relaxing pic... It was the sweetest thing! Just laid there and fell asleep. Sweet sweet boy! He loves the shadows and the fan on the ceiling! :-)

Heinz was 6 weeks old last Friday! My sweet boy is still a little thing but he is gaining slowly but surely. He has started to have a little bit of formula (hard for mama to handle but I am getting there) after every time he nurses. Seems to be making him a stronger nurses --- fingers crossed that this will all work out (the way I hope it does) but I am remembering to have an open heart and mind that God is in control and breast milk or formula... Heinz has to eat! :-) Okay done venting... ;-)

Here's our boy at 6 weeks... So sweet.
On Saturday we went to the market street festival in Columbus. The weather was beautiful. Heinz did a wonderful job riding around (asleep) in his stroller! I didn't plan on buying anything... But we did. I got a scentsy night light for the bathroom -- my mom has one and I have been wanting one for a while! I love it! We also found a painting for our kitchen -- it's so random really but we love it and it looks great hanging in our kitchen. It will look even better once we get a different kitchen table one day! :-)

The peacock painting! :-)

We also got to see brads family this weekend. I only snagged one picture. Heinz and one of his sweet great grandmothers. They love each other so much already. Makes my heart happy!

Monday was Cinco de Mayo, my 6 weeks appt, and my mom (Mimi) was stopping through town on her way back from mobile! Heinz got all dressed up for the occasion -- we went to the dr and to Mexican (we had to celebrate) before Mimi had to head back to germantown. We loved seeing her and we will see her again this weekend --- heading to Memphis!

On that note... Off to sleep!

Xoxo,

Liz :-)
