Mother of the year... Not! :-)

Well yesterday Heinz went to his first birthday party! Happy 1st Birthday to Maddux! Such a fun time celebrating a sweet one year old! Heinz was even giving out hugs and "kisses"!!!

After the party --- I buckled Heinz into his car seat, threw my stuff into the front seat, unlocked all of the doors or so I thought, closed both doors and walked around the car to the drivers door ------ and it was LOCKED!!! So was the passenger door on that side!!! So were both of the passenger doors on the other side!! The trunk? LOCKED!!! My keys? In the front seat. My phone? In the front seat? Heinz? Oh just strapped in his car seat INSIDE the car! Panic!!!! I run back into the party and borrow a phone. Brad, Anna, Monica, and Kayla are at our house watching the game so Anna gets the spare keys and flies to me! Thank God for cool temps, a sweet baby boy who played in his car seat and stared at his mama through the window, and a sweet man for talking to me while we waited. Mom of the year huh? Not.

Besides my big lock/unlock mistake we have been having a fun time cheering on the now ranked #4 bulldawgs (boo to a loss against bama)! Here are some sweet football season pics!
We love having Mimi and Jojo here with us to cheer on the dawgs!

Heinz's first Halloween was fun! We went to the MSU Halloween festival on the 30th and stayed home on the 31st. I made chicken tortilla soup. Jamie was in town for the game. We had maybe 8 trick-o-treaters!!
Heinz had a Halloween party with his class! Not sure how much partying they did but it was cute to see them in their costumes! :-)

My class had a fabulous Halloween party! Thank you Jenny Davis for planning such a fun and adorable party for my kiddos! They had a blast!

We are having such a fun time with our rosy-cheeked boy. He got his flu shot this past week -- he literally smiled when the nurse stuck him with the needle! He is a doll! He is almost 8 months old which I can't believe. Time flies when you're having fun!
Walter, Tony, and Melvin are moving :-(. They made my day by bringing me the sweetest card and some flowers! I lucky am I -- I got to teach all three of those sweet boys! I sure will miss them and their mama! We will be keeping in touch!
When this sweet boy behaves -- he gets to each lunch with his old Kindergarten teacher!!

Sweet snuggles with Daddy. This is one of Brad's favorite things... Mine too! :-)

We love you so much Heinz!

Go dawgs and hailstate!

Xoxo,
Mama :-)
