Mardi Gras:
So my Dad said that this was going to be his last MG so I was determined for Heinz to be there. We made that happen! He loved it! He only got bead slapped two times (not under my watch either time HA) and recovered super fast! By the end he was a pro --- throwing his hands up and waving! Next year "throw me something mister" with be a staple in his Mardi Gras vocabulary. I love spending time with family at MG and Heinz loved it just like me! :-) I was proud of myself for being an intense photo snapper during our 4 day stay! :-)
Heinz loves JoeJoe!
Heinz wearing JoeJoe's hat from his costume! :-)
Professional... I told ya.
Heinz loved the barn party! We took a million pictures just like this when I was little. It was very heartwarming to be able to do the same thing with Heinz. :-)
It's not the Ritz but it's the best Marsi Gras hotel there is! Let the good times roll!

For those of you who think Heinz never cries....
Like he's said before... "My Mimi is cooler than your Mimi!" ;-)
Such wonderful memories!
We came back to Starkville on Tuesday right after the KOR parade. On Wednesday I started a three day mini Mardi Gras unit with my class. They loved it and I had such a fun time showing them pictures, videos, and reading stories all about MG. Brad is so amazing and he made... Yes he MADE king cakes for my class and Anna's class! On Friday we wore Mardi Gras colors, ate king cake, and had a parade on our hall where we threw beads to other K students and told them to " let the good times roll!" I snapped a few pictures!
Snow days:
The snow was pretty and white and nice... And then the last day.. It wasn't. It was ice and ugly and cold. ;-) Heinz liked it though! We didn't go out in it much but we took a wagon ride where he loved looking at it, touching it, and even tasting it! I love "firsts" with this baby boy!
Yummmmmy!
He was amazed by the white stuff falling from the sky! :-)
On the 3rd snow day we got some stuff done... Heinz was such a helper!
We even did a little reading.
The 3rd snow day brought about some challenges as well//// Brad was in his first week of studying for the series 7 test with Edward Jones. Heinz and I tried our very best to stay quiet so Daddy could focus! Heinzy--- shhhhhhh! :-)
Mardi Gras and snow was better than it has ever been before because of you Heinz Edward Barksdale. Thank you for brightening our lives. We love you!
Xoxo,
Mama :-)
